Liverpool Not Planning to Offer Alexis Mac Allister New Contract
Liverpool are not planning to offer Alexis Mac Allister a new contract, according to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs. The midfielder was told in the summer that the club would not extend his deal, a decision that has not changed. Mac Allister publicly described himself as 'sad' about the situation. Jacobs identified Alex Scott, Lamine Camara, and Manu Kone as likely options. Sporting director Julian Ward and manager Andoni Iraola must decide which route to take. This move signals a significant shift in the midfield, as the club looks to rebuild around younger players and new signings. The decision follows recent departures of Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah. Liverpool must also decide on the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson, whose contracts expire at the end of the campaign. The club aims to secure Rio Ngumoha with a new deal. Mac Allister's situation highlights the transition phase at Anfield.
