Carrick vows to restore United values after poor run
Michael Carrick has declared he is 100% certain he can lead Manchester United forward, addressing a press conference where he admitted the team has underperformed recently. The interim manager stated that the club has drifted from its core values and that he is responsible for restoring the identity shown to supporters. He emphasised that the club is bigger than any single individual and that everyone must work hard to represent the team properly. Carrick noted that while United enjoyed five months of relative success, recent results have been unacceptable, particularly citing a poor performance against Como. He expressed a desire to return to the feeling he experienced when he first arrived as interim manager. Additionally, Antonio Conte has denied reports linking him to an immediate return to management, stating there are no advanced negotiations with any club. These developments highlight the ongoing uncertainty surrounding United’s leadership and the broader impact of external factors on European football schedules this weekend.
