Dell family consider Everton bid as Friedkin prepare to sell
The Friedkin Group has announced its intention to sell Everton, stating that the club's foundation is now safely in place. According to journalist Alan Nixon, American billionaires the Dell family are considering joining the race to buy the club. This is not their first interest in Everton, as they were ready to back a takeover through supporters Andy Bell and George Downing before Friedkin completed their purchase. With the Arab market reportedly subdued, American candidates are seen as strong contenders in what is described as a £1bn race. The Dell family would arrive with significant finances, potentially providing a huge boost for manager David Moyes. While nothing is at an advanced stage, the Toffees are in a healthier position than when Friedkin arrived, making them a more attractive prospect for new investors. The owners noted that their immediate priority was to provide stability and support to secure the club's future, including helping to bring the long-promised stadium to completion.
