Eddie Howe open to Manchester United talks if Michael Carrick exits
Eddie Howe has indicated he would be open to holding talks with Manchester United if the club decides to part ways with their current manager, Michael Carrick. According to Sky Sports, the former Newcastle United boss, who is currently out of work, would be interested in speaking to the Old Trafford club should they move on from Carrick, who is reportedly under pressure. This potential managerial shake-up coincides with Manchester United's active pursuit of Everton and England defender Jarrad Branthwaite. Football Insider reports that United are targeting the 24-year-old as they aim to make significant changes to their defensive lineup. Meanwhile, the transfer market remains busy with other high-profile links. These developments highlight the significant transitional period currently affecting several top-flight clubs.
